Category: Abandoned Ski Areas
**September 2008**
Trails: Seemed like there was lots more new growth since my previous visit, but maybe that was because it was fall and not early spring? New growth along the liftline appears to be almost 100% sumac.
Lifts: Still keeps rusting away...
Facilities: Same as before. Light posts getting rustier and rustier.
Accessibility: Same as before. More hikers and mountain bikers out this day. Plus we got to watch a football game at the stadium from the ski slopes! (Well, whatever action was happening in the endzone anyway...)
**April 2007**
Trails: Still fairly clear for the most part. It would definitely be possible to pick your way down. The main slope was quite steep. Solid blue square (maybe even black diamond) material.
Lifts: Many of the area's Hall T-bar towers still stand proudly (but rusty). More growth is happening around them than on the ski trails themselves. Return bullwheel and base drive have been removed. The liftline actually runs right down into the endzone of the University of Montreal's football field!
Facilities: No physical buildings left. Several light posts for night skiing still stood along the liftline however. Most facilities (if there were any in the first place) were probably removed when the football stadium was constructed. It does take up A LOT of space near the ski area's base.
Accessibility: Hiking trails from the Mt. Royal cemetery lead to the top of the ski area, and single track trails criss cross the old ski area as well.
