The College of Pharmacy opened an office on the Phoenix Biomedical Campus in 2007 in the building that also houses the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen). A core of key administrative staff there direct Phoenix-based operations and plan the expansion of post-degree, PhD and PharmD activities to come.

* The College of Pharmacy has developed a Phoenix-based clinical clerkship program that began in 2007 for fourth-year PharmD students.
* The College of Pharmacy will recruit faculty renowned for expertise in individualized medicine research and practice. They in turn will attract excellent students to this emerging discipline. A small number of doctor of pharmacy graduates will enroll in 2009 and 2010 as residents and fellows in a clinical pharmacogenomics program. The general focus of the clinical pharmacogenomics program will be on delivering individualized drug therapies to patients. By translating the remarkable scientific innovations of genomics from the research lab to the patient, the faculty, pharmacy residents and fellows in the program will contribute to significant advances in health and health care.

* The College of Pharmacy will establish a four-year PharmD degree program and PhD training in the pharmaceutical sciences on the Phoenix Biomedical Campus when education and research facilities have been built and are available for occupancy (estimated 2012 and 2013, respectively).
