This hospital is the anchor for the next academic medical campus of The University of Arizona and University Physicians Healthcare. The new campus will allow University Physicians Healthcare to double its physicians to approximately 600, which will increase the number of graduate medical residents, staff and patients we are able to serve over the next 10 years. It will include teaching and research facilities for The University of Arizona Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health, along with physicians' offices and specialized medical treatment centers.
