Edmonton police are reminding residents to take basic security precautions following the brazen unlawful entry of a Mt Sheridan house on Thursday evening. Residents of the Bloomfield Street dwelling were sitting in the lounge room at about 10pm when they observed a male offender crouching down beside a lounge chair. A female resident screamed and the man fled from the house before running through the yard and scaling a side fence. Police believe the man entered the house via an open door. He is described as being an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander male approximately 170cm tall, and was wearing a black singlet and shorts as well as a dark coloured baseball cap.
