Urbana University

Goals:
Urbana University is pursuing its ultimate goal of student success through
* engagement and the immersion of technology into the curriculum
* establishment of a core of technologically innovative faculty members (the Urbana Faculty Learning Community) that will lead the institution through a successful integration of technology across all disciplines
* establishment of a knowledge portal, a faculty mentored gateway to the vast resources of the internet.

The first step is the WebQuest project, a robust and active learning pursuit where students interface with faculty directed on-line resources to solve a problem or create an assignment or proposal. Each member of the learning community will fulfill the following learning goals:
* fully master the pedagogy and methods of the WebQuest model,
* establish WebQuest modules for their discipline,
* attend conferences and workshops, and
* utilize provided materials for teaching proficiency in active learning.
