On Augsust 9, 1945, which was 3 days after the first nuclear bombing of Hiroshima, the US detonated another nuclear weapon on Nagasaki. The bomb was code named "fat man" and was much more destructive than the one dropped on Hiroshima. "Fat man" was a nuclear weapon created from plutonium.
