Elegant out-of-town residence for the Savoy Dynasty, built in the second half of the 16th century by Emanuele Filiberto.
Enlarged and partially re-built between 1660 and 1670, with design by Carlo and Amedeo di Castellamonte, for Maria Cristina of France, who preferred it among all residences.
For the World Trade Fair in 1858, its "riverside villa" character was altered, and the city-side front was favored.

Artists from Lugano, and 17th century frescos decorate the "piano nobile" with precious stuccos with historical and mythological subjects. It currently houses the Faculty of Architecture of the Polytechnic in Turin.Hours
