Birch Carroll and Coyle Cinemas at Earlville were forced to close on Saturday after unknown offenders opened a fire hydrant causing water to flow through the cinema in the early hours of Saturday morning. The hydrant was turned off around 4am by which time water was already ankle deep inside cinema one. Police investigations are continuing.
