Vehicle theft from Yorkeys Knob and crash, Trinity Beach

Police are investigating a chain of events that began with the theft of a motor vehicle from a rural property near Yorkeys Knob at about 11.30am on Saturday.
The stolen vehicle was then driven to Trinity Beach where it was involved in a two vehicle crash on Madang Street. The vehicle then lost control before mounting a footpath and striking a 14-year-old girl and then crashing through a fence and colliding with a house and shed. The two occupants of the vehicle then fled on foot along Madang Street. The 14-year-old girl was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
