Virgin Valley Camp is located in the eastern side of the refuge near the Dufferena Ranch Ranger Station, a few miles off Hwy. 140. The area is high desert scenic with expansive valley views.

Sites are semi-primitive, but include picnic tables. They are all exposed without shade, but the openness allows for expansive views across the valley. There is a pond on the west side with a small dock for some casual fishing.

The camp sports it's own semi-developed hot springs. They pool up at about 90 degrees. Climb in for a nice warm soak, or take a shower in the spring fed showers. Pretty nifty facility. People know this place is here and does fill up frequently due to the limited number of sites. Tour the opal mines nearby or view wildlife. Very desolate area, but very relaxing.
