Dan's Lost Ski Area Explorations

**April 2009**
Trails: Look about the same as they do on the NELSAP page/my previous visit. More visible from the road since the trees haven't leafed out yet. Looks like the ski area is now VERY close to some newly constructed houses at the top of the hill that I didn't see when I was there last time.
Lifts: The lack of foliage made it a bit easier to see through the trees this time, and I'm going to have to assume that the ropetow is now gone. It may actually have run right where the new houses are now.
Facilities: Same (aka none).
Accessibility: Didn't actually get out and hike around this time (though the likeliness that I would've been attacked by bees wouldn't have been as great!) because the lack of foliage made things more clear from the road. Unsure about who owns this property now with the new houses, but it's not really worth it anyway as it doesn't appear there's anything left.

**September 2008**
Trails: Getting to be quite a bit overgrown at this point, but with a little imagination, you could make out where the ski slope once was.
Lifts: I didn't find it on this trip, but supposedly the area's ropetow still stands.
Facilities: None to speak of.
Accessibility: Actually quite difficult. The area is right along route 119/225, but because of new growth it is kind of difficult to get to. Found this out the hard way when I accidentally stepped on some kind of bee's nest and got stung about half a dozen times on my legs. THAT put an end to that trip pretty quick!
