Whaleback

Whaleback was closed for four ski seasons from 2001-2005 (which is relatively short in NELSAP years!) When the hill reopened in 2005, there was a shift in focus towards year-round "freestyle" training and terrain parks, though Whaleback remains an old-school, gritty (and, depending on conditions, quite intimidating) ski hill that skis much bigger and more challengingly than its 700' drop would suggest.
