Smithfield detectives are calling for witnesses following the arson of a courtesy coach parked at the Trinity Beach Football Club on Nautilus Street. Flames were noticed by a passer-by around 3.45am on Sunday morning. The man attempted to extinguish the flames however the coach was extensively damaged. Police are searching for a Caucasian male aged between 15 and 20 who was observed running from the scene. He is believed to have had short hair and was not wearing a shirt. Police believe that three juveniles who were seen walking down the middle of Trinity Beach Road between 3.30 and 4.00am may have seen the offender and are asking them to contact police.
