Woman charged over Edge Hill hit and run incident

Cairns Forensic Crash Unit investigators have charged a 32-year-old Edge Hill woman following an investigation into an alleged hit and run traffic crash that occurred outside an Edge Hill tavern on January 25. A 50-year-old Manoora man sustained a fractured finger as well as bruising and abrasions as a result of the alleged incident. The woman was charged with driving without due care and attention as well as driving whilst under the influence of liquor or a drug. She is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on April 15.
