Police have charged a 13-year-old Westcourt boy following the alleged theft of a wallet from a diner on the Cairns Esplanade on Sunday afternoon. It is alleged that a local man was seated at a table on the footpath at about 3.45pm when the youth stole his wallet and ran off. Police later located the boy who was charged with stealing. He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1992.
