Youth charged over property and vehicle offences

Detectives from the Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged a 14-year-old Mount Sheridan boy with a string of offences following investigations into property and vehicle related offences in Bayview Heights, Woree, Mount Sheridan, Redlynch and Cairns occurring since July this year.
The youth was charged with three counts each of burglary, unlicenced driving and entering premises. He was further charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of trespassing, attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle, entering a dwelling, possession of a utensil and failing to remain. He is scheduled to appear at the Cairns Children’s Court later this month.
