Youths arrested after theft from vehicle, Kanimbla

Two Cairns boys aged 12 and 13 found themselves in the custody of their victims on Monday night after an alleged theft from a vehicle parked in Tuffley Close at Kanimbla. It is alleged that the boys unlawfully entered the vehicle and stole a quantity of property before being disturbed by the vehicle’s owner. A foot chase ensued and both of the alleged offenders were apprehended and handed over to Police. They were both charged with unlawful entry to a motor vehicle and stealing and will be dealt with under the provisions of The Youth Justice Act 1992. QP1100473728
