Youths arrested over numerous offences

Police have arrested two youths in relation to a number offences which have occurred in the Gordonvale area during April and May. It is alleged that the youths fled after police were notified of a number of offences occurring in the Gordonvale area early yesterday. The youths were located and arrested around 1.00 yesterday afternoon. A 15-year-old Whiterock boy was charged with stealing, attempted stealing, attempted burglary, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlicenced driving and failing to remain at the scene of an accident. A 13-year-old Whiterock boy was also charged with attempted burglary, assault occasioning bodily harm, burglary and three counts of stealing. Both are scheduled to appear in the Cairns Children’s Court.
