Youths charged over stolen quad bikes, Cooktown

Detectives have charged a 19-year-old man and two youths aged 14 & 15 in relation to the alleged theft of two quad bikes from a Helenvale property yesterday. The bikes were allegedly recovered at a Shipton Flat Road address and were subsequently returned to the owner. The 19-year-old man was charged with entering premises and stealing and is due to appear in the Cooktown Magistrates Court on April 5. The two youths will be dealt with under the provisions of The Youth Justice Act 1992.
