Chickamauga Campaign Heritage Trail

Visitor Information

The Trail gives visitors an overview of the Chickamauga Campaign and the events that led up to the Battle of Chickamauga, Sept 19-20, 1863. www.ChickamaugaCampaign.org details the route of the Confederate Army of Tennessee as it retreated from Chattanooga south to LaFayette; then with reinforcements, turned back north to fight the Battle. Most of the sites listed have interpretive signage providing more detail as you follow the Trail.
