FarmLinks Golf Club
Golf
Designed by Hurdzan-Fry in 2003, FarmLinks Golf Club is unlike any golf course in the world. Measuring 7,444 yards from the tips, the course is a mix of dramatic elevation changes, pristine fairways and immaculate greens. But that's not what makes FarmLinks so unique. As the world's first research and demonstration golf course, FarmLinks is literally a "living laboratory where golf's products of tomorrow are tested today. Companies like The Toro, Club Car, BASF and Agrium have partnered with FarmLinks to create this one-of-a-kind, limited play, environment that's open to public play six days-a-week. Golfers that play "The Farm" can expect to encounter, not only dozens of different grass types, but wild turkey and coyotes, an occasional robotic mower and at least one state-of-the-art golf cart. Also, when our course is open for public play, it's at an all-inclusive rate. So, not only will you get a great round of golf, you'll enjoy a traditional southern-style lunch in the club house, beverages and snacks, unlimited use of our practice facility, ice-cold apples on the course, and chilled mango-scented towels delivered to you on sweltering hot days.

Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, AL Golf Vacations by Golf Zoo
When Golf Digest selected Alabama the 3rd best state for golf value a couple of years ago, it became obvious that the state was a major player on the golf scene. Due in part to the success of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, Alabama finds itself at the pinnacle of the golfing world. Golf course architect Robert Trent Jones saw the group of public courses he designed in Alabama as his version of Michelangelo's masterful artwork in the Sistine Chapel. The 21 courses are now called the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, a total of 378 holes at eight locations across the state.
