Pinehurst #7

Golf

YOU MUST STAY AT THE PINEHURST RESORT TO PLAY THIS COURSE Located a mile away from the Main Clubhouse, No. 7 is unmistakably Pinehurst, but has a mountainous flavor as well. Uphill shots on eight of the 18 holes require power and pinpoint accuracy. Other interesting features make this a unique addition to the Pinehurst heritage, including vast bunkers that require bold tee shots, wetlands to clear and double doglegs. It also incorporated some old bunkers Ross put in place years before for an old employee's course - you'll find them beside the tee of the fourth hole. The 18th, a downhill par 5 to a green flanked by water, shows that this course will test your game to the very end...so come prepared.

Pinehurst, NC Golf Vacations by Golf Zoo

More than any other resort in America, eight courses grace Pinehurst's 2,000-acre landscape. Ross, Fazio, Maples and Jones have left their mark to make each of them a unique test of golf. Try the classic courses, like No. 1 and No. 3, both perfect for an unspoiled afternoon. The championship set presents more of a challenge - but all have stood the test of time.

We suggest you combine a mix of old and new, short and long courses into your next stay, and find the fine nuances in all of them. More importantly, you'll walk where legends have for centuries, and make your own mark as well. And the region's four distinct, yet mild, seasons permit year-round play.
