The Golf Club at Bridgewater
Golf
The course at The Golf Club of Bridgewater located in Lakeland Florida, is another amazing design by architect Steve Smyers. He has carved out 18 magnificent holes, each having its own specific challenge. You must play "HEART BREAK RIDGE". It is number 4 and has become a favorite for few and a menace for many more. With a tight driving area to a narrow 12 foot elevated green surrounded by water left and a 12 foot deep bunker right, this hole challenges the better players to conquer it. The goal was to build an interesting test of golf for all skill levels, but specifically be a stern challenge for the long hitting players. Steve Smyers accomplished this by developing this links style course with a risk-reward approach especially around the greens. The green complexes are large averaging 10,000 square feet giving a changing look every time you play it.
