Shitty light, no subject. Is it even a picture? I don't know. But there's a bit of me that really likes it. Probably for exactly those reasons. I wished I'd had the 4x5 in the back of the truck when I saw this. (I'm standing outside my house here).
This one also seems like it might be interesting extended laterally into the 6x17 format.

I've been thinking about my neighborhood and how it might be photographed, trying to obey my own dictum of shooting it in the least interesting way possible, and only trying to answer the question 'what does it actually look like?. These LX1 shots are jottings in a notebook to help me figure out how it should be done. I'm wondering how this would look extended laterally into the 6x17 format.

Digital pictures are the children you don't love. No matter how hard they try. Such an emotional difference between putting a jpg in the trash, and throwing away a negative.
