Canongate I was the first of the Canongate golf courses. It originally opened in 1965 with 18 holes designed by world renowned architects, Dick Wilson and Joe Lee. An additional 18 holes were added in 1999 by architects Rocky Roquemore and Jeff Burton. Canongate features a double-sided driving range with both mat and grass hitting areas, targets, and premium range balls, as well as a short game practice area. In 1999, the clubhouse was completely remodeled and features a fully stocked pro shop, restaurant and both men's and ladies' locker room facilities.
