River Forest

Golf

From the time you enter River Forest and get the first glance of the course at number two, you will get a feel for what is in store. The private 18-hole championship golf course opened in October of 2004, and the final design was created by Director of Golf Course Maintenance Gary Wilder and Master Shaper Ernest Jones. The course is sure to be a challenging and enjoyable experience for any golfer. The course at River Forest was designed to cleverly include natural elements such as granite formations deriving from the Stone Mountain rock system spreading through Georgia. In other areas strategic placements of rocks and lakes make for a very picturesque experience. The design has amazed golfers throughout the state and the country, and the perfect putting bentgrass greens along with lush fairways create a wonderful environment for a round of golf.

A highly urbanized metropolitan capital, that has the largest convergence of the nation's giant companies, home to international luminaries including the Inside CNN Studio Tours, World of Coca-Cola, the Georgia Aquarium, High Museum of Art and the impressive host of practically 60 acclaimed golf courses in and around the city. The beautiful topography and the humid subtropical climate of Atlanta assure golf to be a pleasant experience in a city that is magnificently settled atop the ridge over Chattahoochee River.
