Alexander Pope


Alexander Pope (London, 22 mai 1688 - London, 30 mai 1744).He wrote poety from 12 years. He was employed at the translation of the Iliada by Homeu. By the excellent receip of this one, Pope translated the Odyssey. He was the first poet English in being able to live only of the usefulness generated by his warks. He treated directly the most important intellentual, political and religious problems of his age. His works most important was "the test on the crituque" and "the stolen curl".
