The Will of Rev. John Wing was made at St. Mary Aldermary, London in 1629. The church was basically destroyed by the Great Fire of London in 1666. However, the church was rebuilt using the remaining walls from the old church.

The church was basically destroyed by the Great Fire of London in 1666. However, when it was rebuilt, it was made to closely resemble the previous church. The base of the tower and other portions of this church were from the original building.
