Rev. John also occasionally preached here from 1620-1627. His sermon, "The Best Merchandise" was preached here in 1622 for the Merchant Adventurers just before they moved from Middelburg to the Delft.

the Gasthuiskerk in Middelburg. The Merchant Adventurers used the Gasthuiskerk from 1598 until 1621, when they left Middelburg. John Wing was ordained as pastor of the English Church in Flushing on June 19, 1620. Wing preached his sermon The Best Merchandise to the Merchant Adventurers immediately before they left Middelburg (relocating to Delft ), so he probably spoke to the group in the Gasthuiskerk.
