Jacksonville Beach Golf Club renovated 10 greens over the past 2 years. The golf course was built back in 1960 and went thru a renovation back in 1987. They have a lighted range, excellent practice facilities, this past May they opened a new 5,000 square foot clubhouse and a new cart facility. Just a mile from the ocean, what makes this course tough and challenging for lower handicap golfers is the prevailing winds that always come into play. Wide-open and flat with very few trees to affect errant shots, Jacksonville Beach makes it fun to learn the game. Bunkers on every hole and several bodies of water also define the course, but distance to the pin is never in question,thanks to Jacksonville Beach's global positioning system (GPS) found on every cart. Fun for all, Jacksonville Beach Golf Club is one of the area's most popular courses.
