Main Street School of Performing Arts - - 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS: Charter School Investigation - Of the 143 charter schools in Minnesota, 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS obtained the teacher lists for 119 of those schools, and compiled a list of 1,792 teachers. We compared that list with the Minnesota Department of Education's list of 91,000 licensed teachers. Initially we found 184 teachers at 65 different schools who were not listed on the state database. We e-mailed the principal or director of each school to confirm our findings. We found many teachers who had a different legal name on their teaching license and other teachers who were no longer with the school. "We have re-applied with the state for her license to be renewed for the 2008-09 school year. We don't see an issue with it being approved this year, since they approved it last year. She is in the process of completing the Dance Licensure via Portfolio option through the Minnesota Department of Education. Lara has extensive background in dance and holds an MFA and BFA in Dance from Florida State University."

"An application was registered with the Board of Teaching on November 11, 2008. Lara Ciganko holds no Minnesota license or permission."
