St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists - - 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS: Charter School Investigation - Of the 143 charter schools in Minnesota, 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS obtained the teacher lists for 119 of those schools, and compiled a list of 1,792 teachers. We compared that list with the Minnesota Department of Education's list of 91,000 licensed teachers. Initially we found 184 teachers at 65 different schools who were not listed on the state database. We e-mailed the principal or director of each school to confirm our findings. We found many teachers who had a different legal name on their teaching license and other teachers who were no longer with the school.
