High Peaks Resort (formerly The Lake Placid Hilton) is located on Main Street near Mirror Lake and is the center of the village, surrounded by a unique variety of shops, boutiques and restaurants. All 176 spacious rooms at the resort face the lake and mountains, and most feature a private balcony or patio. The hotel itself features indoor and outdoor heated pools, whirlpools and an exercise room. Nearby winter activities include cross-country skiing, bobsled and luge runs, dogsled rides and ice skating. Amenities include cable TV, coffee maker, iron, and daily newspaper. Each room consists of two double beds or one king bed. The on-site Terrace Room Restaurant offers lakeview dining all day and the Dancing Bears Lounge provides the areas only nightly live entertainment and complimentary happy hour buffet. Free town shuttle available to slopes at Whiteface Mountain.
