In the Spring of 1998 Clara Brownell Middle School was awarded a seismometer. We are part of the PEPP Seismic Network that contributes to the PEPP Earthquake Database. The information that we provide is then shared with anyone who has Internet access and a desire to study seismology.

Collaborative project with Science Department using the MediaWiki Server. Students are creating wiki pages to write their scientists reports.

The Umatilla School District Administrative Team began using a Moodle this year to:
1) Learn how to use one of the current technologies that teachers have access to in the district,
2) Share and react to the book they are currently reading (Learning by Doing, DuFour, DuFour, Eaker and Many)
3) Store handouts and share experiences from the "Curriculum Mapping Activity" the district is undertaking this year.

Ed Tech TEM (Technology Enhanced Math) grant project with Echo School District. This project had a mathematics focus using Tablet PC's and monthly "get togethers" and other professional development opportunities.

In 2002 Umatilla School District began utilizing a portion of Title IID funds to extend the useful life of its aging computers.
