Infrastructure Problems

Do you know of streetlights that don't work? Got lots of potholes? Does your street flood? Do you see a bridge that looks too rusty? Pipes bursting all around you? Are people getting lost because of missing signs?

Give us specifics, including dates. You can add photos, video, include your stories of frustration and bureaucracy.

(Municipal infrastructure typically includes transportation, sewer, reservoir, potable water supply systems, police stations and local jails, etc.)

Pedstrian Bridge
This pedestrian bridge has been destroyed. No government entity has taken responsibility for maintenance.

From the St. Pete Times: A Clearwater Bridge pedestrian bridge must close after Clearwater forgot to inspect the 8-year-old span.

Lights out
700 N Ashley Dr
Tampa, FL 33602, US
As of September, 2007, more than half the lights are out in Curtis Hixon Park. I first noticed this in 2004, contacted the city, and the park remains dark and dangerous.

Flooding
In the Shell Point neighborhood of Ruskin: Mountains of fill dirt, piled foolishly in the floodplain (see photo) of the Coastal High Hazard Area, are now being paved with subdivisions.

Surprise: Roads now flood during any summer rainstorm in this Level One Evacuation Zone.

(New development is not yet shown on this aerial.)
