We invite you to tour the authentically restored boyhood home of Mark Twain and experience the inspirationfor The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The moment you walk through the door of this quaint, two-story dwelling you will be reminded of long ago. Imagin smelling the cooking aromas in the kitchen and hearing the parlor conversations that inspired the imagination of Hannibal's Mark Twain. By the time you leave the home you will imagine Tom is "letting" the neighbor boys white wash the fence.

Located directly behind the Boyhood Home. Interactive exibits will acquaint you with young Sam Clemens and his family. Early Hannibal exhibits include a print shop with a composing table and printing press like the one where Sam first worked and recieved his desire to write. Walter Russell's sculpture and the Elmira studio help complete your experience on the way to the Boyhood Home.
