ABOUT THE TALL ART PROJECT: The Council on Culture & Arts (COCA) and the Tallahassee-Leon County Planning Department have teamed up to present the Tall Art project. Over the next five years, a new system of downtown wayfinding signs will be installed to help orient visitors and highlight some of the great locations in our city. In the meantime, we’ve captured a unique opportunity to display local art in a highly visible way on the bare sign poles. The selected artworks have been reproduced in full color and printed onto UV treated, weather proof vinyl which is then wrapped around the poles. Each Tall Art installation will remain in place until the new wayfinding sign is installed. Be sure to visit these artists’ web sites and contact them if you’d like to learn more about their work and how to purchase it.
