Coit Tower

Coit Tower, completed in 1933, sits atop Telegraph Hill and has 360 degree views of the city and the bay. Constructed with funds left to San Francisco by philanthropist Lillie Hitchcock Coit, the Art Deco tower is designed to resemble a fire hose nozzle, as a tribute to the firemen who battled the fires after the 1906 earthquake.
