Glasshouse Mountains

Glasshouse Mountains was first named by Captain Cook in 1770. In 2006 they are home to Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo and Wildlife Warriors and of course the fantastic beautiful Mountains of Glasshouse Country. Mt Tibrogargan offers 3 walks. An extrem experianced climbers only climb to the summit. Base Circuit is relativley easy and access by most. and Also the Tractyite Circuit that is much longer (5km)

Wildhorse Mountain
Easy - Moderate sealed walk to Wildhorse Mountain fire tower lookout giving spectacular 360 degree views, only 1 minute of Bruce Highway (M1)

Glasshouse Mountains Lookout
Drive right up to this fire tower lookout give spectacular views North, East and South over the local Pine Plantations and Glasshouse Mountains. This lookout is under reconstruction after the Australian Prime Minister announces the Glasshouse County is Protected under National Heritage Listing. Rustic Cabin Rest Area
Bus Interchange and Overnight Rest Area. Nice off highway spots for cars and motorhomes and caravans. Overnight stays only. A couple of nice forest walks and restaurant on site. (AWESOME WOODFIRED PIZZA)
