Memories on Skates

Top of Squibb Hill
This is the top of a very steep hill that called Squibb hill. I used to skate down this street with my friend Amy back in the late 70's - early 80's. She went slow with alot of turns and I went fast. Somehow I never fell on this one.

abandoned building
This buildings and just about everything else around here was run down and abandoned. We went into this building - it still had a roof and and it was a dark and scary. Just like with Squibb Hill, we managed to get out without any scrapes

Key Food
My mom would send me to Key Food with a long list. I would always go on my skates and no one ever said a word. If I filled up the cart I woud get it delivered. Otherwise I'd skate home with a grocery bag in each hand

Rock With You
Before this building went up there was a parking lot here and I remember it being fairly empty most of the time. Amy and I used to bring music and make up routines on our skates. "Rock With You" was a favorite.

Trocadero, Paris
This was my favorite place to skate ever! I did my Junior year of college in Paris and when I went to Trocadero and saw all the skaters, I wrote to mom and asked her to send me my skates. Trocadero is such a beautiful place. It's like a giant staircase descending down to the Seine where a bridge takes you to the Eiffle Tower.
