The Artventure Trust enables people with learning difficulties, physical and mental disabilites to explore the visual and performing arts. Founded in 1984 our aim is to help vulnerable people integrate into the community, to break down fear and ignorance and discrimination, to enable these people to be seen in a more positive light. Our activities are designed to improve self expression, develop potential and encourage a greater awareness of self worth coupled with a real sense of achievement. With practising artists and others with a variety of skills, working in small groups and giving one to one attention where necessary we give a flexible and fun approach to the creative process. Our sessions include painting, drawing, sculpture, printing, pottery, drama, music, craft work, computer aided design and experimentation with differing materials to produce exciting works of art.
