In addition to other Payroll records of 1904 and 1905, he is found in a April 27, 1902 Payroll for extra work when he was part of a select crew that spent that day, a Sunday, setting the statues, Courage and Integrity, and getting double time pay. Frank Carlson was born in Sweden in about 1873 and emigrated in 1891. He married his wife Anna here in 1899, he got on steady with Butler Bros., and he worked on the Capitol for the entire time of the construction. He became a hoisting engineer and eventually bought a farm in Harris, Minnesota.
