"December 6th Memorial

"Mary Lou was a member of CAW Local 444 and was a worker at the Pilette Road Truck Plant. On December 6th, 2000 CAW Local 444 Women's Committee held a Dedication Ceremony at Plant 6 where they had a memorial made. The Memorial is In Memory of Mary Lou and women who are Victims of Violence.

"With the closing of the Pilette Road Truck Plant the Memorial has been relocated to Windsor Assembly Plant 3. It is now located at the Green Space, almost across from Centre Gate, where the Administration Building used to be.

"Each year on December 6th the Women's Committee, family members and supporters to End Violence Against Women revisit the Memorial. A small ceremony is held there with the laying of a wreath to remember Mary Lou and women like her. There is also a minute of silence recognized in the plant and flags are flown at half mast in their memory. We encourage people to attend this yearly memorial to help Break The Silence."
