Acadia Vacation Planner - Hikes & Trails

DIFFICULT - This trail will take you over hundreds of stone steps leading up to the Dorr mountain segment. There are also metal ladders / stairs to take you over the big boulders. At the summit, and along the way, you will have views of Frenchman's Bay, Cadillac Mountain, Bar Harbor, pink granite rocks, and forests.

This mountain is named for the founder of Acadia National Park.

STARTING POINT - This is NOT a well marked trailhead. Look for an opening in the bushes just South of the Tarn. The trailhead is actually southeast of this point.
