1905 Payroll, 1900, 1901 City Directories. William A. King was born in Ohio in 1858 of German parents. He moved with his family to Minnesota in 1880 and lived in Minneapolis when he worked on the Capitol as a "tuck pointer." The architect's log of May 10,1901 notes that King broke his wrist in a fall that day.He worked for many years as a bricklayer in Minneapolis and raised a large family there.
