1899, 1902 and 1903 City Directories. Thomas Thompson (Thomason in the 1900 Census) was born in Norway in 1870 and emigrated in 1890. He is found in a April 27, 1902 Payroll for extra work when he was part of a select crew that spent that day, a Sunday, setting the statues, Courage and Integrity, and getting double time pay. The Union Advocate of Nov. 9, 1900 reported that Thomas Thompson had joined the Mason Tenders Union. His said he was working for Butler Bros. as an engineer in the 1903 City directory.
